You Peeping Tom

RPG (Role-Playing Games)

Altair, Ezio, Kratos, Dante and more of them drool-worthy demi-gods (or demi-devils?)

MECHA MECHA and Oh, more MECHA

It's like Gundam Wing, but better. Better stock up some oil for those hard to bend joints.

They're ENORMOUSLY..little

Internet-based RPG games may be small in terms of graphics but they pack more adrenaline-pumping excitement than expected.

Outstanding Vistas

Games aren't just for finger fun. Edgy graphics, in-depth and vibrant hues, breathtaking scenery --- these make the gameplay more interesting.

The Dudes and the Babes

Prince of Persia, Bayonetta, Jin Kazama, Morrigan Aensland, or Dante of DMC ring any bell? They've got near-perfect bods to go with their moves. You drool and play.

The OTHER Blog

This is so not game-related but hey, I'm the boss of this blog so I can do whatever, right? :D

I have another blog in another blog site. I chose to have music as the central appeal in my blog so yeah, I don't want to delay this, here's the link.

If you have an account in THAT site, do follow if you want :D

Gaining Lots Of Hate: Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3

UMVC3
So I've been surfing around game forums and was astounded at how much UMVC3 is resented. Well they hate CAPCOM. If they hate Capcom, they hate the game. Simple logic but the fuss was mainly about making it a DLC instead of a full game. I didn't see or hear any complaints about the gameplay so yeah, I DON'T THINK I HAVE TO CARE ABOUT 'EM HATERS.

I have to admit though, it would have been best if UMVC3 was a DLC (downloadable content) for MVC3. I kinda understand the cries of fanboys in the forums. I for one wouldn't bi*** about it though. It is by all means a business. Business means more loot. And what better way could Capcom loot from gamers? Make a full, separate game.

Vergil, the hotter, yummier twin brother

Well I'm fine with it, as long as it's damn fun. And I just wanna say, I'm excited to play Vergil. I know, I know. It'll just be like playing Dante except he's the hotter twin (IMO, okay?) HAHA

UMVC3's roster is interesting, if anything. I have to get a copy over the weekend, play it, and yes, make a review of it.

NEXT WEEK IS THE WEEK: Assassin's Creed Revelations Launch Trailer

It's ending..NOT~!

Well, yeah, Ezio's story will end in Revelations but Ubisoft's CEO Yves Guillemot gave out his own revelation :D
Apparently, a third Assassin's Creed title will be launched next year. As to what it is about, that I don't have any clue yet.

For the time being, here's the AC Revelations launch trailer from Gamespot.com :D (I have to attribute this to them, I am by all means, a law-abiding netizen)

November 15 IS THE DAY fellas.

BeWITCHIN' Good Looks and Moves: Bayonetta

Mighty mighty Boots
Never underestimate a sweltering hot woman who has guns on her hands and boots especially when she's a witch. Along with her almost-unending long legs are ass-kickin' weapons only hell can offer.

Bayonetta is a hack and slash 3rd person game directed by the same man who directed Devil May Cry --- Kamiya Hideki.
In the game, you control Bayonetta (which btw reminds me of that French weapon 'bayonette') in a series of levels, helping her regain her lost memory after staying under a rock for 500 years (I actually meant 'SLEEPING').
She fights off angels and other heavenly-looking creatures with the use of her guns named Parsley, Rosemary, Sage, and Thyme (it seems she cooks offside eh?).

What was entertaining about this game was the number of possibilities for you to mix up all her moves, resulting to a lot combo strings and "Torture Attacks". Also, at every end of a level, medals are awarded to the player depending on how well he performed. Being the 'sister' game of DMC,
expect a lot of semblances from Dante's or Nero's combat moves. Another factor that binds Dante, Nero, and Bayonetta together is their level of HOTNESS :D
Very bad angels >__<

What got me hooked:
One would be the soundtrack. It was quite new to me for I never had thought of putting "Fly Me To The Moon" in a game.
What's more, it's Brenda Lee's cover. Very feminine and subtle, contrary to the game's nature. You can also hear female choirs all throughout the game. I personally thought that the game's OSTs were awesome :D

The fact that it's a hack and slash game immediately got me. I guess if you've loved DMC, you won't find it hard to actually get addicted to Bayonetta. There's always something about games with magic, spells, and demons that never failed to mesmerize and entertain, much of what Bayonetta did to me.

Torture Attack-ing
And oh, it's replayability is just epic. You can replay and replay even until your arse grows a beard :D

Areas for Improvement (AFIs):
This game rocks my socks if you ask me but I'll be blunt, there were times when the camera angling ticked me off. But I guess some people who are less-observant of this won't find it a nuisance, not unless they have very poor eyesight.

She carries that thing like a backpack >__<
On normal mode, the game got a bit hard (so much for the NORMAL mode) and I berated myself for not meeting the game's "NORMAL". Frustrations will come, I tell you. Like when in the first few levels you got a platinum medal then the following levels you earned fugly bronze and stone medals, you get really agitated and frustrated. This is THAT kind of game. If you want to keep up earning platinum medals, PLAY THE EASY MODE and just KICK ASS all throughout.

Verdict:
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆
Such a babe ♥

The art design, combos, weapons, plot, and the characters made this game awesome. Mad props to the genius behind this one hellavu game and of course, to the smexy smexy Bayonetta for being such an eye-candy to half-males like myself :D Watch out for her special attacks using her hair (IKR, hair?) that leaves almost nothing to our imagination ;p

Now, how about bringing Dante, Nero, Trish, and Bayonetta in one game huh? Worth trying? Or even imagining?

Please take note:
We are responsible gamers, therefore, we must
always make sure that games are child-appropriate.
THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE GAMES.

THIS GAME HAS MATURE CONTENT.

High-speed Wrecks: Blur

Blur
Been a an avid fan of racing games ever since the advent of the Need for Speed series. While most of the racing games allow you to just race (for the lack of a better term ;p), Blur has tad more in its sleeves and it has nothing to do with flying ;p.

In Blur, you get to race and take down your opponents at the same time. Weapons or "power-ups" are found around the race track for you to pick up and fire at your opponents, much to my delight and I guess to some who are semi-war freaks :D

The cars showcased in the game has traits that vary from Speed, Acceleration, Drift, Grip, and Stability. Most of the cars in the game are tailored to suit the type of tracks, given that it is playable depending on the class (Class D, C, B, A).

What got me hooked:
The wrecking, blowing, ramming, and practically the destroying of the cars. I hope I don't have
BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) but blowing up my opponents' cars was the most fun in the game. Plus the fact that you can counter the attacks thrown at you by the angry, vengeful racers which by the way,
will earn you points and achievements every time you
Shunt Hit!
successfully dodge or counter an attack :)

AFIs (Areas For Improvement):

The only thing that Blur missed out for me is the array of cars. Sure there were enough, but adding a few more wouldn't hurt, I guess.

The customization part too. I'm not trying to
turn Blur into an NFS-ish kind of game but re-spraying the car with another color is just too plain.
Adding vinyls or any other things to the car's exterior would do the trick.

Verdict:
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆

Power-ups: Weapons of Mass Destruction
Being the first game review on my blog , I'm solely basing the rating from my gameplay experience (same goes for the next entries). After all, it is the player's gameplay experience (whether great or meh-ish) that would matter.

Blur was a near-perfect game for me. But then again, as what the Purists say, there is no such thing as "perfect". Somewhat perfect, maybe. And Blur filled that gap.

Hands-down the most fun I've had from a racing game. Give Blur a try, you'll feel a whole lot better when you just want to wring somebody's gut out. This game is great for venting out anger (worked on me ;p).
Blow 'em cars up~!

The Gestalt Prayer

FIRST BLOOD

This post does that. But before we delve into the abyss, I mean, into the world of the purely surreal, I give you The Gestalt Prayer. I don't know how this is connected to being a gamer but what the heck, you could either read on or get back to playing COD Modern Warfare 2 HAHA

I do my thing and you do your thing.
I am not in this world to live up to your expectations,
And you are not in this world to live up to mine.
You are you, and I am I,
and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful. If not, it can't be helped.
